To begin with, I would like to emphasis the importance of education in our life. Every child has been studying from the first form till the 4 course of the university in order to get a good knowledge and diploma. Actually, nowadays we aren’t able to find a well-paid job without higher education. With this in mind, we can say that that is the first goal should be finished. But it is a long process requiring lots of efforts.

Let’s talk about participation in classes. In the university, according to the criteria, the activity of a student is being evaluated by teachers; that’s why every student is supposed to show himself by answering teachers’ questions, taking part in role-plays, and so on. To show his/her knowledge, a student should be well-prepared to the lesson. It means that student must have his home assignments done and themes learned.

During the academic year students have quizzes, mid-terms and final exams at the end of each term. They are being conducted in order to check students’ progress in studies. That’s why student should always be prepared to the lesson, otherwise, there is a possibility that he will get a low grade which influences on the GPA of a student.

Next step is the relationship between student and teacher. As it’s accepted that young people should respect adults, moreover, if it is a teacher, student has to listen to him. He should follow rules consolidated by the university. However, it doesn’t mean that teacher has a full control of the student. As a matter of fact, there is a rule which describes student’s and teacher’s behavior, their rights and obligations. It helps regulate relationships between a student and a teacher.

In conclusion, I would like to say that every student must study and get a good education, because he is the future of that country he lives in. What about me, my purpose is to get a good knowledge studying in the university to make my country as prosperous as leading countries of the world. I want to contribute to the development of my country by introducing new ideas and ways of solutions. In this respect, I’m sure that studying today will help me in my professional life tomorrow.     

4) Dangers and the benefits of the internet on children

Nowadays, the internet is one of the necessary things in daily life. I'm going to write about usage of the internet by children. Of course, not only has it benefits, but dangers also.
       
     Benefits:
1) Actually, childhood is a period when a child is interested in everything. Any child always has a lot of questions, it tries to find explanations of things that surround him. In this case, the internet is one of the easiest ways to find answers. You can easily find any information. By this way, child broadens its outlook expressing his/her own opinion. Moreover, you can download videos, music, pictures etc.

2) The internet is the best way of communicating with people who are far from you. For example, children can communicate with their parents, grandparents and other relatives, if they live separately. New technologies let us communicate with people directly, i mean by chatting, calling or talking through the webcam. It's very cheap, because of wide prevalence.

3) Some people consider that it is better to play computer (online) games than walk the whole day. As far as they are concerned, exactly because of that, chidren tak up using drugs and alcohol baverages.

     Dangers:

1) As a matter of fact, computer has radiation which effects on vision - reduces it. It's one of the most important problems amongst children all over the world. They can spend a lot of time using the internet, because they can't control themselves.

2) There are a lot of online games. They were made to attract children's attention. They have such a quality of images and good graphity that creates an imppression of reality. This kind of games involve children very much. Because of that, children become to forget to have dinner when they come after school, they stop doing their home assignments, they spend lots of time playing online games etc.
Once I read about one boy who was totally engaged by the online game. He had been played the game  for 2 days. he even ate in front of computer. He died. the doctor who observed him said that hi didn't any motion seating in front of computer, and the heart stopped beating.

3) Children can find in the internet network such things that will have influence on their psychology badly. They can visit links that are prohibited  for children, it just envokes children's interest...

3) Mouse vs Touch Screen

Nowadays, computer is considered as on the necessary attributes in modern life. We use computers in order to make life easier, moreover it saves our private time. For example, it helps us to solve logical tasks; we can store, transmit and manipulate large amounts of information that is only possible with computer technology; through the computer we can easily communicate with people from any point of the world without having difficulties like it was some years ago, when people sent paper letters. Etc…

Today, a usual computer consists of two parts: soft ware and hardware.

     Software is a set of instructions, called a program, which tells a computer what to do

     Hardware is any electronic or mechanical part of the computer system that you can see or touch.  

           There are three basic hardware sections:

1)     1) The CPU

2)    2) The main memory

3)    3) Peripherals. They include:

-          Input devices (keyboard and mouse, touch screen)

-          Output devices (monitor and printer)

-          Storage devices (hard disks and CD/DVD-R drivers)

Now I’m going to write about MOUSE and TOUCH SCREEN.

Both of them are used for moving a cursor (or pointer) and select items on the display, but they are very different in using.

                

            MOUSE is hand held device that is connected to the computer by the USB-cable.  Mouse was invented earlier than Touch Screen, that’s why most of people prefer to use the mouse rather than the touch screen.

But, there are some disadvantages of using Mouse:

-          For using mouse you need smooth surface that is enough big (especially it’s hard when you are using mouse in the train or car )

-          Mice are being sold separately from the computer

-          By the time, it’s getting dirty. You can disassemble it for cleaning or washing, but for assembling you need glue

 TOUCH SCREEN is an electronic display that reacts on your touching (finger, hand). It’s easier in using, because you interact directly with what is displayed, rather than indirectly with a pointer controlled by a mouse. Moreover, it needn’t any extra devices for inputting that would to be held in the hand. Such displays can be attached to the computers.

               

             But, there are some disadvantages:

-          It requires a lot of energy

-          There is no tactile feedback

-          Touch screen is usually very thin, so even with the slight being damaged, it can stop working at all.

-          Hasn’t protection from being frozen  

In conclusion, I can say that mouse is getting less useful in inventing new types of modern computers. Anyway you will face with the Touch Screen, and you will have to use it!     

2) My first impression in the IELTE

          Frequently, young people are faced with difficult choosing the future profession. They are given the questions how much is important a chosen profession, where work students of definite University, whether they can find themselves in life and of course you expect a lot of results after much effort, serious preparation and hard work.
          Entered the IELTE it was pleasant to immerse in atmosphere of psychological comfort, friendliness and harmonious relationships between teachers and students. At the same time you notice the strong orders, requirements. We must follow the system of rules. For example we must keep English in the IELTE building. It’s not always comfortable, but it is a good opportunity to develop your English speech.
          I hope that in IELTE I will learn a lot of new skills which will help me in future job. It is very important to get a good education because nowadays there are a big competition to land a job. I will do my best to learn English and will try to use my knowledge reasonably.  Valihkan, 1A

IELTE is a program created for students of Uzbek State World Languages University for intensive learning of English. Each year   team of IELTE program works harder to compile stimulating and rewarding program for students. The team always works on upgrading the service it offers. Teachers consider students’ opinion and appreciate feedback from them. Well-educated and experienced teachers, energetic counselors and professional staff will help you to improve your English up to a high level.

The informal interaction between faculty and students, combined with an international mix of students, creates a truly fascinating learning environment which is comfortable for all students.

Teachers. All teachers are qualified and have experience in teaching English. They dedicate their passion and time to students and make learning process more interesting.

They are strict and require us to follow the rules, but at the same time they are kind, friendly and have unique personalities. They learn students’ strong and weak to use individual approach while helping them.

IELTE Center is situated in the building of Uzbek State World Languages University.

There are some rules for students who are in the building, but the most interesting is to keep English. It gives students a chance to immerse fully in the language environment and makes learning English more effective!

The 3rd and 4th flours are destined to study. Rooms are light and small intended for mini-groups of 12-15 students. They are designed in concordance with the World standards using modern technologies and office furniture.

     1) The first is DRAMA Club where you can try yourself in acting. At the same time you will be able to practice your speech making it more clear and fluent.

Also, here you can meet new friends, because you will communicate with students from other groups…

     2) The second is VIDEO Club.  You will have an opportunity to watch new movies in English and discuss them with students from other groups. By this way you will improve your listening skills. Moreover, you will be able to learn English phrases, idioms by listening to English speech…

     3) The third is MUSIC Club. You will have singing lessons for free, and will have an opportunity to participate in the festivals conducted at the end of academic year. Here you will have a chance to compete with other performing in front of IELTE students. It’s very cheerfully and at the same

time you will increase your vocabulary and make your  speech more expressive…

     4) The fourth is READERS’ Club. You will read English books and discuss them with other readers. Reading the books written by foreign authors will give you a big pleasure, because foreign writers have absolutely different views of life…

     5) We have a Writing Center which is available for the whole IELTE Center. It helps students to improve their writing skills by giving invaluable advice and useful resources…

     6) We have an own Library. There are a lot of books which were bought in the USA and transported to our Library. A variety of books makes it possible to find the book which will catch your attention…
